Recap 5.01   LGB Tease
Let's be clear about this from the outset. Some of you will cheer and begin celebrations immediately but The L Word landscape has changed since we last saw our friends.

Recap 4.10   Little Boy Blue
Lipstick on skin as a voice tries to draw me in over a song with the lyrics "Invest in my love, invest in my love". I should know better by now, but I think it's Jenny. It's not.

Recap 4.08   Lexington & Concord
Jenny is asleep (but it's daylight, sorry ignore that, it's Jenny and we know nothing really makes sense with her), anyway, everything is beautifully soft focus, there's a gentle breeze blowing through her hair and lovely soothing music playing.

Recap 4.07   Lesson Number One
I know it's a big ask to top last week's episode. We had the wondrous montages, Alice's glorious "Fuck my mother!" explosion when Tasha's elbow accidentally lands in her eye, Bette and Jodi finally hookin' up and Papi's life lessons learnt via a game or two of poker. This episode doesn't have the same pace but there are a few good things anyway...

Recap 4.06   Luck Be A Lady
Shane is staring at a life-sized poster of herself standing in her underwear. The two Hugo Boss 'accessories' standing on either side of her are raving (actually it's more of a hysterical, obsequious ramble) about her being the new 'it' girl.

Recap 4.05   Lez Girls
Max stands in front of the mirror. He removes his dildo and undresses, stripping down to skin. It's kind of weird and there's this music playing that makes me think that Max is going to do something to harm himself (Oh God, yes, please!).

Recap 4.04   Layup
There's so much to love about this episode, it's almost difficult to contain my excitement. Alice is flat on her back giving running instructions to an under-the-covers Phyllis who is feeling (or should I say teething) her way around the pleasures of Alice. It’s funny and it’s real.

Recap 4.03   Lassoed
After the first episode of this season I was so looking forward to the witty banter between Alice and Helena to replace the Shane, Dana and Alice three-way we'd all come to love. I had even started to look forward to Jenny's Tourette-like outbursts of expletives, but that was back on ice.

Recap 4.02   Livin' La Vida Loca
There are lots of drag queens with those bolero tops with giant rainbow coloured sleeves all offering themselves to Alice as "Papi". Alice is spinning around searching the faces for which one might be the infamous Papi. Maybe she should be singing a la Kylie: "I'm spinning around, move out of my way, I know you're feelin' me 'cause you like it like this".

Recap 4.01   Legend in the Making
We are under water and someone is plunged into the water and then begins flailing amongst what looks like seaweed and we realise it's not a randy manatee but Shane. Phew, for a minute there I thought someone was drowning and the "nipperette" in me just wanted to save them.

What does it all mean?
The L Word normalised the lives and loves of a group of lesbians living in LA in a way never seen before. Collectively they represent glamour personified – beauty, wealth, independence and freedom. But what does this all mean?
