Bring The L Word Back to Australian Television

Petition Text

To: The Seven Network Australia, W Channel (Foxtel)

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that you purchase seasons 3 and 4 of The L Word to screen on your network at an accessible hour.

DVD sales and the rise of websites both here and internationally demonstrate the show’s popularity and the fact that there is a real audience here in Australia.

The programming of season 1 on the Seven Network at 12am on Wednesday mornings didn’t do the program justice, yet it still managed to find its audience among gay and lesbians as well as straight viewers.

Anecdotal evidence indicates that The L Word audiences are well-educated professionals with a high disposable income eager to access programs of quality with diverse subject matter.

We look forward to a favourable response to this petition and seeing The L Word on our television screens soon.
